CAINTA, Rizal – Student-journalists together with their school paper advisers and DepEd officials from 21 schools divisions in CALABARZON start to arrive here for the 2019 Regional Schools Press Conference (RSPC).

Over 4,000 participants will battle in their respective levels, media, and categories in their hope-driven force to reserve a spot for the nationals.

           This year’s tilts are newswriting, feature writing, editorial writing, column writing, science writing, sports writing, photojournalism, editorial cartooning, copyreading and headline writing, collaborative desktop publishing, radiobroadcasting and scriptwriting, and TV broadcasting.

The said writing events will be conducted as scheduled at Cainta Elementary School, F. P. Felix Memorial National High School, Angono National High School, and Angono Elementary School. (Please see Updated Matrix of Activities as of October 25, 2019).

Only top 10 writers will be recognized in every category, level and medium who will qualify for the same contest come 2020 National Schools Press Conference (NSPC).

           RSPC 2019 will run from Nov. 11 to 15 driven by the theme this year: “Empowering Communities through Campus Journalism.” The event will be officially commenced, Monday, at Ynares Sports Complex, Antipolo City.
