School heads from Rodriguez, Rizal walk through the RPMS manual and get a full understanding on the RPMS tools for Teachers I-III and Master Teachers I-IV during the SDO Rizal’s Training of Trainers, July 17-20.

 

SDO Rizal joined the whole Calabarzon in conducting the Division training on the PPST-RPMS (Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers – Results Based Performance Management System).

The Division Training of Trainers held at Loreland Farm Resort, Antipolo City on July 17-20, 2018 was attended by Education Program Supervisors (EPS), Public Schools District Supervisors (PSDS) and selected secondary and elementary school heads.

The PPST-RPMS training capacitated the division trainers on the new RPMS manual, its processes and the various tools used in assessing the performance of teachers and prepared them for the training roll out to be participated in by all the teachers in SDO Rizal.

Ms. Viernalyn Nama, EPS, HRDD of RO IV-A Calabarzon starts the first session with the overview of the PPST-RPMS.

Ms. Viernalyn Nama, EPS of HRDD Calabarzon shared her session on the overview of PPST-RPMS stressing that the standards are embedded in the RPMS.

“Now, we can say that we have teacher-standards that will define what it means to be a Filipino teacher”, Ms. Nama stated.

Participants’ facebook posts reflected their “key take-aways” from the training.

One such post said “Mas madali siya ngayon kasi we don’t need to craft our own objectives and performance Indicators, may Rubrics na at higit sa lahat since this is based on standards teachers will be rated fairly and justly” This came from Ms. Judith F. Eullaran, School Head of Mahabang Parang National High School, Binangonan Rizal.

Another post from Ms. Susan Sacatrapos said “It was a busy day” referring to their task of going through and understanding the RPMS tools for Teachers I-III and Master Teachers I-IV.

SDO Rizal’s OIC-SDS, Mr. Christopher R. Diaz delivers his strong message of support to the implementation of the PPST-RPMS.

Meanwhile, OIC-SDS, Mr. Christopher R. Diaz emphasized the importance of the training and reminded all to prioritize the immediate orientation of the PPST-RPMS with consideration on the “engaged time on task” policy.

He also assured the participants of the full support of his Office in conducting the roll out with teachers.

All of the said participants received a colored-printed copy of the PPST module and RPMS manual.

Facilitators of Class I claim that they too have learned from the participants who ask questions to enlighten them on the key points they will discuss in the roll out during the Division Training of Trainers, July 17-20, 2018.

The training was conducted by the SDO Rizal facilitators who attended the Regional Training of Trainers on PPST-RPMS: Lerma L. Flandez, Marita L. Gonzales, Babylyn M. Pambid, Angelito Dasalla, Shiela B. Penano, Magno Abueme, Leandro Matocinos, Corina Condez, Aurora Flores, Xandra Lee Cervitillo, August Jamora, Ma. Cristina Camarse, Corazon Badayos, Aileen Vocal and Emmalyn Guevarra.
